At the stroke of 12:24 PM, an intriguing event will unfold in the skies above Bengaluru. The Sun will claim its position right overhead, casting a spell that will captivate all observers.  

 A unique phenomenon will manifest: pedestrians ambling along the streets will encounter a peculiar challenge—their own shadows will seemingly elude them. 

 As this moment arrives, every stationary object, be it a person or a pole, shall withhold their shadow from the ground—unless, of course, the adventurous choose to leap into the air.

Twice annually, the phenomenon of Zero Shadow Day graces our planet, a phenomenon unique to the regions nestled between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn 

These exclusive occurrences unfold within the latitude range of 23.5 to -23.5 degrees, painting a celestial spectacle for those fortunate enough to witness it.

In this ongoing year, the Zero Shadow Day made its debut on April 18, gracing us with its presence fleetingly at 12:17 PM. Likewise, the city of Hyderabad encountered this enchanting occurrence on August 3 at 12:23 PM, having experienced it previously on May 9 of the same year.
