On the occasion of Independence Day, Subhash Ghai, the producer-director, has unveiled the Sanskrit version of the song ‘Aye Watan Tere Liye‘ from his film ‘Karma,’ presenting a meaningful gift to the country’s youth. Bikram Ghosh, the renowned tabla player and musician, has collaborated with esteemed musicians and singers of India to craft a unique patriotic song titled ‘Ye Desh’ that resonates with deep patriotic emotions. This special composition is set to be released on the evening of August 14, just a day prior to Independence Day, coming together to celebrate the spirit of freedom.

“In anticipation of Independence Day, tabla virtuoso and musician Bikram Ghosh has collaborated with several vocalists including Harsharan, Shaan, Kavita Seth, and Richa Sharma to craft a special song named ‘Ye Desh’. The music video for this song also showcases some of India’s eminent instrumentalists, including Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt on the Mohan Veena, Pandit Ronu Majumdar on the flute, Purvayan Chatterjee on the sitar, Rajesh Vaidya on the veena, Pandit S. Shekhar on the mridangam, and Bikram Ghosh himself on the tabla.”

The album ‘Ye Desh’ embodies a captivating blend of musical legends such as Harsharan, Richa Sharma, Shaan, Kavita Seth, and Mahalakshmi Iyer on one end. On the other end, it seamlessly introduces the fresh voices of the modern era, featuring acclaimed artists like Rishi Singh from Indian Idol, Debojit Roy, Chirag Kothwal, Bidipta Chakraborty, Senjuti Das, and the sensational Mohammad Faiz, known from the show Superstar Singer.
